London Will Be Performing August 5-9 In The South Shore Room Of Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Which Is Celebrating Its 50th Anniversary This Year
In his popular and critically acclaimed show Greg London's "ICONMAN," the master musical impressionist pays hilarious homage every night to scores of today's top icons.
Now it's official -- having been voted the "Best Entertainer In Nevada" in Nevada Magazine's 2009 Best Of Nevada Readers Survey, London (www.gregorylondon.com) has truly become an icon himself!
"ICONMAN," which is one of the longest running shows ever in Sammy's Showroom at Harrah's Reno, was voted "Best Show In Northern Nevada" in the same poll, which will be officially announced in the publication's upcoming July/August issue.
Next stop, Lake Tahoe!
London will be performing August 5-9 in the legendary South Shore Room of Harrah's Lake Tahoe, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The room has played host to numerous legends over the years, from Tom Jones, The Supremes, Cher and Tony Bennett to Bob Dylan, Sammy Hagar and Frank Sinatra.
Other upcoming events include London's performance at the Artown event in Reno on July 1st, where he will be sharing the stage with Richie Havens; singing "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch at the Reno Aces baseball game on July 4th; and then singing at the Reno Rodeo, which takes place from June 18-27.
This spring, the singer's cover of Bread's 70s classic "Everything I Own" hit the Top 5 on FMQB's AC40 Chart and was declared the highest charting new artist single and independent label release of 2009. The track also reached #26 on the Radio & Records (R&R) AC chart and #25 on the Mediabase chart.
Listeners who love "Everything I Own" but also love to dance will be over the moon about the explosive remix of the track that was done recently by European Sony Superstar and in demand French Tribal-house Producer DJ Laurent Wolf.
Speaking of French, London's hip, newly recorded cover of Johnny Rivers' classic "Secret Agent Man" features a sensuous French female vocal passage between verses.
On June 15, London will be releasing the follow-up single "Cool Change" to AC Radio. The track was produced by David Zeman, Musical Director of ICONMAN, whose original title was "Greg London's Icons."
