Hi Everyone, There is so much to tell...After pursuing this dream of mine for 27 years it is here. Yay. Greg London's ICONS started previews on the Las Vegas Strip at the Riviera on June 17th. We were scheduled to open on the 16th but the sound board blew on the 15th...after we had programmed in all of the sound cues. As much as I am living a true blue dream come true opening a show on the Las Vegas Strip is a Herculean effort with so many hurdles to overcome it boggles the mind and can cause one to drop 25 pounds whether you need to or not. The production includes Danny my comedic sidekick on the bass, Barbara Leoni rocking you out on her famous pink guitar looking as beautiful as ever, the younger audience members have nick named her guitar barbi, handsome actor Chris Cooke on the drums and our musical director David Zeman the triple threat multi-keyboards, three Las Vegas Showgirl singer dancer actresses with everyone on backing vocals, as you can imagine, we are making a ton of music here in Las Vegas. I have been outfitted with in ear monitors something I never thought I would do is change my monitor system so I'm having to realign my inner ear to this very drastic change. Sennheiser is my Microphone and Monitor endorser, the finest Microphone in the world so a bit more tweaking and we should have the sound down in the new room with the new system. Calvin Klein has endorsed my wardrobe for television appearances. The ICONS are so cool we have opened with the ICONS of Classic Rock and an almost 4 minute Johnny Cash Medley...phew! Our Grand Opening Media Night should be announced for August now with so many people traveling they are trying to get the best date together. I have been extended such a warm welcome from literally everyone, the media, the Riviera brass and many locals in business and residents here in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is HUGE and a bit of a shock for me but I am loving performing five nights a week here. Come see me when you can. I miss all of my friends. -Greg p.s.
